BJP MLA from South Shillong, Sanbor Shullai on Monday said he is not hungry for power.

The MLA was reacting to the allegation that his recent statement against the health department led by his party colleague AL Hek, was because he was annoyed for not getting ministerial berth.

Denying this, Shullai said that he is not power hungry and he shall abide by the decision of the party central leaders after the completion of two and half years term.

He said for him the problem faced by the people of his constituency is priority and the rest is secondary.

It may be mentioned here that Shullai had earlier claimed that the BJP central leadership had promised that there will be a reshuffle among the MLAs of the party for the cabinet minister’s post in the Meghalaya Democratic Alliance (MDA).
