Shops and vendors allows to open for three days a week in EJH

In pursuance to order issued by the Home (Political) Department, Government of Meghalaya and in view of the rapid rise of COVID-19 cases in the District, the Deputy Commissioner, East Jaintia Hills District in an order issued on Tuesday informs the general public that the particular shops and vendors listed below shall remain open only on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday with immediate effect until further orders.

The shops and vendors includes Computer Stores and their Repair shops, Automobile Showrooms and Car Wash Units, Furniture shops, Clothes and garments, Textiles, Tailoring shops, Footwear, Ornaments, Home Appliances, Home Furnishing, Mattress and Quilt shops, Electronic Items,  Kitchen appliances including crockery etc, Watches and Clocks, Cosmetic shops,  Stationery and Book Stalls,  Gift shops, Photo Studios, Sports Equipment including Cycle shops, Bridal Shop, Toy shops, Sewing Craft and Novelty shops, Flower shops, Nail Salons, Spas and Driving schools.

Any violation will be met with strict actions under the Meghalaya Epidemic Diseases, COVID-19 Regulations, 2020. DPRO
