    The Executive Committee of the Dorbar Shnong Shnongpdeng, West Jaintia Hills District in its recent joint meeting with the Shnongpdeng Tourism Development Society (STDS) & the Village Defence Party (VDP) take a decision to re-open the Tourist Spot and Tourist Activities at Umngot River of Shnongpdeng Village from the 15 September 2021 with a limited capacity of five hundred tourists/visitors in overall including day-visit & overnight stay per day.

    The meeting has decided to adhere all the norms and regulations made by the Tourism Department Govt. of Meghalaya related to the SOPs of the Covid 19.

    Dap B Syngkrem, Joint Secretary Dorbar Shnong Shnongpdeng said that all the Tourists/ Visitors/ Homestays/Camping sites/Guest Houses/ and the Boatmen etc, who visit to & involve in the Tourist activities in Shnongpdeng village are hereby requested to strictly adhere to the SOPs of covid 19, in order to maintain the healthy and smooth running of the Tourism sector in the jurisdiction of the village concerned.
