Shillong under two days complete Lockdown: CM

With the spike of COVID-19 cases, the Meghalaya Government has decided to observe the next two working days i.e on the 13 & 14th of July, 2020 as Total Lockdown in the Shillong City agglomeration.

According to Chief Minister Meghalaya, during this time, Shillong city and surrounding areas shall be under curfew till 6 AM of the 15th of July, 2020.

1st COVID case from Meghalaya police reported as State hits double centuries

“The decision does not mean that we are afraid but to make people aware of the situation and to urge every citizens to be covid warriors to prevent the spread of the COVID-19 in the state.

We have entrusted covid management committee and behaviour management local committee to go to each and every household to create awareness on the need to take preventive measures,” Deputy Chief Minister Prestone Tynsong said on Saturday.
