Shillong MP chairs DISHA meeting in Ri Bhoi

The District Administration of Ri Bhoi convened the District Development Coordination and Monitoring Committee (DISHA) meeting on July 15 under the chairmanship of Dr. Ricky A.J. Syngkon, Member of Parliament from Shillong Parliamentary Constituency.

The meeting, held at the Conference Hall of the Deputy Commissioner’s Office in Nongpoh, saw the participation of key public representatives including Mayralborn Syiem, MLA Nongpoh; Charles Marngar, MLA Mawhati; Dr. Celestine Lyngdoh, MLA Umsning; and Mathew Kenneth Makdoh, MDC, KHADC.

Senior officials present included Abhilash Baranwal, IAS, Deputy Commissioner; Ayushi Pradhan, IAS, Assistant Commissioner; Balakyntiew Ranee, Additional Deputy Commissioner; and Raja Brama, Project Director of DRDA and Additional Deputy Commissioner. Block Development Officers from all blocks in the district and officials from various government departments also attended.

The meeting aimed to ensure effective implementation of centrally sponsored schemes, promote transparency, and align projects with the needs of the people.
