The Office of the Deputy Commissioner, East Khasi Hills District, organized a Bike Rally to pay tribute to the armed forces and express solidarity with soldiers serving at the frontlines. The initiative, led by Deputy Commissioner RM Kurbah, aimed to recognize the sacrifices and unwavering service of the nation’s soldiers.

The rally was officially flagged off at Golflink by Shanborlang Warjri, Additional Deputy Commissioner, and concluded at the State Central Library.

Speaking at a brief programme held at the library, Kurbah highlighted that the event was a mark of support for the soldiers engaged in the ongoing conflict with Pakistan. She referenced the recent incident in Pahalgam as a stark reminder of the courage and commitment shown by the armed forces, adding that the safety and peace enjoyed by citizens is a direct result of their sacrifices.
