Shillong awaits IAF’s air show spectacle on October 20th

As part of 91st Anniversary celebrations of Indian Air Force, Headquarters Eastern Air Command is organizing an Air Display by IAF aircraft over Umiam Lake, Shillong as part of its public outreach initiative. The air display will comprise a Flypast by ALH & Chinook helicopters, Dornier transport aircraft, SU-30 & Rafale fighter jets.

The aircraft will carry out formation flying and other extraordinary aerial maneuvers demonstrating exceptional flying skills and professionalism. The Grand finale would be the helicopter formation flying display by the Sarang Helicopter Display Team. Sarang Display Team is acknowledged as one of the best helicopter display teams in the world.

The air show is planned on 20 October 2023 and the Full Dress Rehearsal (FDR) will be conducted on 17 October 2023 from 9.15 am.
