Shakil with heroin worth 1 lakh arrested

South West Garo Hills police arrested one drug trafficker along with heroin worth over Rs.1 lakh on Friday evening.

Police said on receipt of credible source information regarding narcotics substances, ANTF of Ampati Police detained a suspected motorcycle B/Rgn No.AS-34/3138.

The rider of the biker was identified as Shakil Miah was detained and on conducting of body search, 6 (six) soap cases containing orange-whitish transparent polythene were recovered from his possession.

Accordingly, a preliminary test was conducted on the recovered suspected narcotics substances (Heroin) and the result of which showed positive for Heroin worth Rs.1,50,000/- in the market.
