Seven landslides hit high-altitude roads; BRO restores connectivity overnight

Seven landslides struck high-altitude roads on September 1 after heavy rainfall, causing major blockages and disrupting traffic in the 12,000–15,000 feet region.
The 763 Border Roads Task Force (BRTF) of the BRO immediately launched restoration efforts on the LDY (Ledo–Dibrugarh–Yangtse), DSLC (Dibrugarh–Sadiya–Ledo–Chabua), and BCT (Bordumsa–Chabua–Tinsukia) roads. Working through the night, personnel cleared debris, removed uprooted trees, and secured the routes, restoring connectivity for civilians and essential supplies.
Upholding its motto, Shramena Sarvam Sadhyam (Everything is achievable through hard work), the BRO reaffirmed its commitment to maintaining vital lines of communication in some of the country’s toughest terrains.
