    The Seinraij Jowai expresses its heartfelt gratitude to the Governor of Meghalaya, the Chief Minister of Meghalaya, the Chief Justice of Meghalaya High Court, the Speaker of the Meghalaya Legislative Assembly, Shri. SK Sun MLA, Shri. AL Hek MLA, Shri. S. Shullai MLA and the Office of the Chief Secretary of Meghalaya for their warmest greetings and messages of blessing for the faithful of the indigenous traditional “Niamtre” during the celebration of the State’s Annual Behdieṅkhlam Festival which culminated on the 11th July 2021.

    Through this press communique, OR Shallam President Seinraij Jowai deeply appreciates the entire Organisation’s Officials and Members as well as the Dorbar Shnong and all the faithful of Niamtre who have been very supportive and cooperative towards the successful celebration of the Festival from the 8th to the 11th of July, 2021.

    The organisation also extends its gratefulness to the religious Leaders of the Shillong All Faith Forum, Leaders of the Sikh Community, Ram Krishna Mission, Central Puja Committee, Catholic Church, Shillong Muslim Union, Unitarian Church, Buddhist Community, Seventh day Church, CNI Church, Seng Khasi Kmie Shillong, Jain Community and all other Religious Organisations and NGOs who have extended their support through their Messages of Blessing during the commemoration of the Festival amidst the Covid-19 pandemic.

    Further, the Seinraij Jowai acknowledges and conveys its gratefulness to the District Administration, Police Department, PHE Department, PWD Department, MeECL, IPR Department, the Press and the Media for their constant assistance without which the celebration would have been unsuccessful.

    Seinraij Jowai also wishes everyone far and near with good health and happiness and may this Festival chase away the pandemic and other social evils/bad elements far away from the living world and bring Peace, Unity, Harmony and Fraternity in the state and the nation at large.
