    The District Magistrate of East Jaintia Hills District Khliehriat had promulgated under section 144CrPC for plying of heavy vehicles on the stretch of road at 3rd and 4th Km Sutnga-Sumer (Surbang) which might cause more damage to the road.

    Plying of heavy vehicles on the stretch of road at 3rd and 4th km Sutnga-Sumer road to avoid further collapse of the Retaining walls on the downhill side and Plying of Heavy motor vehicles may poses a threat to public safety as overloading may lead to further collapsed of the retaining walls on the downhill side which may totally cut off the road pavement at these locations.

    This Order shall come into force with immediate effect until further order. DPRO
