Section 144 Cr.PC imposed in South Garo Hills District

The District Magistrate, South Garo Hills, District, Baghmara has imposed under Section 144 Cr. P.C in the district for the smooth conduct of the Lok Sabha Elections.

Wall writing, pasting of posters/papers or defacement in any other form, or erecting/displaying of cut-outs, hoarding, banners, flags, etc. on any Government premise.

Displaying of flags and banners in private premises except with the voluntary written permission of the occupant/owner.

Displaying of flag and stickers in private vehicle. In case the owner of the vehicle on his own volition decides to display flag/stickers, etc., they should not cause any inconvenience or distraction to other road users.

Display of any flag, sticker etc. on commercial vehicle unless such vehicle is a vehicle validly used for election campaign after obtaining the requisite permit from the District Election Officer/Retuming Officer and the display thereof in original on the wind screen.

Carrying of any type of arms and explosives in the entire District of South Garo Hills till the election process is over. However, this order shall not apply to law enforcing authorities such as police personnel, Home Guards, Forest Personnel, BSF and CPMF personnel.

This order will come into force with immediate effect and remain so until further orders.
