SCA-B advance unbeaten to semi-finals, set to face EKHCA at Mukhla

SCA-B continued their unbeaten run in the Under-16 Boys Inter District Cricket Tournament 2025 (Zone-1), organised by the Meghalaya Cricket Association (MCA) and hosted by the West Jaintia Hills District Cricket Association, by securing a solid 2-wicket win over SWKHDCA in their final league match held at Madan Thad, Mukhla Mission on Saturday.

Batting first after winning the toss, SWKHDCA managed 126 for 9 in 43 overs. Their captain, Phrangborlang Syiemlieh, top-scored with a composed 50 off 117 deliveries, including five boundaries. Arav Baraily led the bowling for SCA-B with 3 wickets from his 10 overs, maintaining tight control throughout.

Chasing 127, SCA-B reached the target in 27.1 overs, finishing at 130 for 8, thanks to a superb solo performance by Suraj Chettri, who smashed 94 runs off just 75 balls, hitting 12 fours and a six. Despite a valiant 4-wicket spell by Gillford Iawphniaw for SWKHDCA, SCA-B held their nerve to complete the chase with 16 overs to spare.

The result sees SCA-B finish on top of Group A with 8 points, having won all their matches. RBDCA topped Group B with 6 points, while EKHCA advanced to the semi-finals as the best second-placed team based on Net Run Rate. TDCA qualified from Zone-2 as group winners.
