Rotary Club Shillong and NSS Unit of St. Anthony’s College observed Rashtriya Poshan Maah

Rotary Club Shillong Heritage in collaboration with the NSS Unit of St. Anthony’s College observed the 4th Rashtriya Poshan Maah or National Nutrition Month at Mawthei village, Ri Bhoi district.

On Saturday last, the team led by Programme Officers Ms Cathy Saiborne and Shemphang Hynniewta distributed 116 bags of food items (consisting of 1 kg each of masur dal, Bengal gram, yellow peas, soya beans and eggs) to the villagers. Women’s Horlicks were also given to the lactating mothers. Children were presented with chocolates. 

Besides the edible items, 50 pairs of new shoes for ladies and old clothes were given to the villagers by the club. The NSS Unit distributed blankets to the villagers.
