    Rikmenlang Lamare who escaped from prison on Saturday last was arrested today at his native village.

    West Jaintia Hills Superintendent of Police, BD Marak said that the last Prison escapee viz Rikmenlang Lamare (UTP) detected and detain by Barato villagers and handed over to police.

    Rikmenlang who is a UTP escapes from Jowai District Jail on Saturday along four under trial prisoners for murder namely I Love You Talang, Lodestar Tang, Ramesh Dkhar and Shidorki Dkhar and a murder convicted prisoner Marsanki Tariang.

    They assaulted the jail staff and also stabbed one police man on duty in the main gate to made their escape a success.

    It may be mention that the jail break turn fierce on Sunday evening, I Love You Talang, Marsanki Tariang, Lodestar Tang, Ramesh Dkhar and Shidorki Dkhar were noticed at an area known as Forest along the boundary of Thadmuthlong and Shangpung came to the notice of the local people after Ramesh bought foods from a local shop in the area. I Love You Talang, Marsanki Tariang, Lodestar Tang, and Shidorki Dkhar were lynched by the furious mobs from Shangpung,Thadmuthlong and adjoining areas while Dkhar managed to escaped for the scene.

    Ramesh Dkhar was apprehended by the local citizens at Thadmuthlong-C under Phramer Traffic Cell, Jowai PS on Monday morning and subsequently handed over to police.
