Ricky Shullai expresses confident to win Laban-Mawprem seat

Former Laban-Mawprem MDC Ricky Shullai on Friday expressed confidence to win the upcoming elections to the KHADC, to be held on February 21.

Ricky, who is nephew of BJP legislator from South Shillong Sanbor shullai, had lost by a margin of only 19 votes in 2019.

“Despite being defeated, I decided to continue with my social work and I have always been with the people of the constituency during the past six years and because of their love, I am confident to win in the coming elections,” the former MDC told reporters after filing his nomination papers at ISBT, Mawiong.

Asked, Ricky said, “Though I am a former MDC but to the people of the constituency, I am an MDC every day.”

Highlighting the various issues faced by the people of the constituency, the former MDC assured to promote employment among the youth through the small scale industries.
