Rice and Atta released in East Khasi Hills District

The Deputy Commissioner (Supply), East Khasi Hills District has informed the public consumers that Rice under NFSA (AAY and PHH) and Non-NFSA for the month of January 2021 and Wholemeal Atta for the month of December, 2020 are released through the respective Fair Price Shops.

The scale of issue of rice is 35 kgs per card @ Rs. 3/- per kg for AAY quota, 5 kgs per head @ Rs.3/- per kg for PHH and 7.215 kgs per household @ Rs.12.70/- to Rs. 13.00/- per kg for Non-NFSA. Wholemeal Atta will be distributed at the scale of 5 kgs per card in Urban Area and 3 kgs per card in Rural area @ Rs.10.50/- per kg.

The Deputy Commissioner (Supply) also directed all Fair Price Shops to distribute the quota as soon as the stock arrives and to display the list of beneficiaries and the timing of operation in their respective shops.

Any non-supply, overcharging of rate, supply of less prescribed scale or inferior quality may be reported to the office of the DC (Supply), East Khasi Hills District, Shillong. (MIPR)
