    The I/c Deputy Commissioner, East Jaintia Hills District, Khliehriat has issued SOP on Preventive Measures to contain the spread of COVID-19 in Religious Places/ Places of worship.

    As per the SOP, it stated that in churches, temples, mosques, gurudwaras and other places of worship, the maximum number of persons allowed should not exceed 75% of the seating capacity of the place of worship.

    Furthermore, the advisory on persons below 18 years of age to stay at home is hereby lifted and those who are attending religious services should strictly follow all COVID-19 related safety protocols including those attending Sunday School service. Individuals must maintain a minimum distance of 5 feet and strictly follow all COVID-19 related safety protocols.
