    Meghalaya is set for next four days of continuous rainfall, with severe weather expected across many districts. This coincides with the ongoing Behdeinkhlam festival in Jowai, where locals are anticipating for calm conditions. However, the IMD has issued warnings for several districts from July 1 to July 5, 2024.

    July 2:

    Thunderstorm/Lightning and heavy to very heavy rainfall are anticipated in South West Garo Hills, West Garo Hills, South Garo Hills, East Garo Hills, South West Khasi Hills, West Khasi Hills, West Jaintia Hills, and Eastern West Khasi Hills.

    North Garo Hills and Ri-Bhoi are likely to receive Thunderstorm/Lightning and heavy rainfall.

    Conditions remain the same for East Khasi Hills and East Jaintia Hills as the previous day.

    July 3 and 4:

    Thunderstorm/Lightning and heavy rainfall in South West Garo Hills, South Garo Hills, North Garo Hills, Ri-Bhoi, and West Jaintia Hills.

    West Garo Hills, West Khasi Hills, South West Khasi Hills, East Khasi Hills, East Jaintia Hills, and Eastern West Khasi Hills are likely to experience Thunderstorm/Lightning and heavy to very heavy rainfall.

    July 5:

    Heavy to very heavy rainfall continues to persist in South West Khasi Hills, East Khasi Hills, and West Khasi Hills.

    In South West Garo Hills, North Garo Hills, and Ri Bhoi, only thunder and lightning are expected.

    West Garo Hills, South Garo Hills, East Garo Hills, West Jaintia Hills, and East Jaintia Hills will likely receive heavy rainfall.
