A First Information Report (FIR) was filed on June 6, 2024 at Pynursla Police station against four Border Security Force (BSF) personnel alleging inhuman treatment and barbarian action.

Claiming that they were assaulted by BSF personnel, Bhakupar Kshiar and Mickey Ksiar stated that on the 4th June, 2024, that the two of them along with a friend drew out the basket of betel nuts from a pond of Smti. L. Khongwar situated at Lyngkhat and loaded the sacks of betel nuts into the truck specified as Tata 407 bearing a registered Vehicle Number ML 05 Q 8844.

“On completion we returned home by the same truck. However, at around 11 PM and upon reaching the spot known as Lynti Dar of Lyngkhat road, we were stopped by 4 (Four) BSF Personnel who were heavily drunk. On seeing this we immediately stopped our vehicle, but suddenly these four BSF personnel ordered us to come out of the vehicle and without any resistance we voluntarily complied with their order,” the FIR mentioned.

The “shocked” trio stepped out of the vehicle, and claimed that the four BSF personnel grabbed, pulled their hair and told them to kneel down on the road.

The FIR mentioned that they have sustained severe bodily injury.

They stated that there was delay in lodging this complaint as they were appalled and terrified of the incident and could not take any immediate step.

The assaulted persons have requested the police to prosecute the culprits as per law.
