Pulse Polio Immunization programme launch in WJHs

JOWAI: West Jaintia Hills Deputy Commissioner Garod LSN Dykes today launched the pulse polio immunization campaign in the District at Mynthong Community Hall and later administered polio drop to the children.

Dr. Valerie J Laloo informed that polio booths have been set up at various localities of Jowai Town, Health centres and villages to cover all children below 5 years of age. The immunization campaign which kicks off today will cover the whole district and will continue till 13^th March, 2019 with door to door visit on 12^th and 13^th March, 2019.

The programme was chaired by Dr. K. Ajar Chyne, District Medical and Health Officer, West Jaintia Hills and the vote of thanks was offered by Dr. S. Warbah, Urban Health consultant.
