Peeved with the failure of the Meghalaya Government to comply with the judgment passed by National Green Tribunal, the Environment Coordination Committee will take out a proccession on 15th December next from 1 kilo to Office of the Deputy Commissioner, East Jaintia Hills in Khliehriat.

The ECC knocked the door of NGT Eastern Zone Kolkata through a case filed by Pynbait Sutnga against the establishment of the coke plants in the Elaka Sutnga.

The case was disposed on the 8th July 2022 and the NGT directed the State government through MSPCB to collect the entire fine that have been imposed against the 31 (Thirty One) units for establishing without Consent to Established and amounting to 5.5 cores approximately.
