    The National Law School University Demand Committee Jaintia Hills has convened public meeting on Saturday at 12.00 noon at Tpeppale Community Hall, Jowai.

    The Committee was set up consequent to the decision of the Meghalaya Government to establish the National Law School University in State.

    The Committee comprised the Society for the Study of Law, the Jaintia Students Union, the Jaintia Students Movement, the FKJGP Jaintia Hills Zone, the KSU Jaintia Hills, the Synjuk Ki Waheh Shnong Jowai, and the Synjuk ki Waheh Shnong Ri Jaintia.

    They has submitted a Memorandum to the Government to set up the National Law School University in Jaintia Hills.

    The Demand for the Law School University is justified on the fact that even after 50 years of Statehood not a single State level or National level Institution has been set up in Jaintia Hills.
