  • Prohibitory order in Guwahati for recruitment tests for Grade III and Grade IV posts

    The Guwahati city police have imposed a prohibitory order within a 100-metre radius of 320 exam centres for the upcoming written tests for Grade III and Grade IV posts scheduled to be conducted by the State Level Recruitment Commission for Grade III and Grade IV Posts on September 15, September 29, and October 27.

    The order issued by the Guwahati city police will be in force during specific time frames on the exam dates. According to a notification issued by Additional Commissioner of Police Imdad Ali, The prohibitory order issued by the Guwahati city police will be in force during specific time frames on the exam dates.

    According to Additional Commissioner of Police Imdad Ali, the timings will be 10:30 am to 1:30 pm on September 15, 9:00 am to 12 noon and again from 1:30 pm to 4:30 pm on September 29 and 9 am to 1:30 pm and again from 1:30 pm to 4:30 pm on September 29.

    The exam will be conducted by the Board of Secondary Education Assam (SEBA) on behalf of the State Level Recruitment Commission for Grade III and Grade IV Posts for recruitment of vacant posts of Grade III and Grade IV in different state government departments.

    The prohibitory order has been enforced to ensure that the exams are conducted in a free, fair, and transparent manner, while also preventing any potential law and order issues.

    The order, promulgated under Section 163 of the Bharatiya Nyay Sanhita, prohibits the entry of any unauthorized individuals within a 100-metre radius of the exam centres.

    Under the prohibitory order, only candidates with a valid identity card, scribes assisting persons with disabilities, provided they have proper authorization from the authorities, officials engaged in exam duty, police officials on exam duty and ny other authorized persons designated for exam-related duties will be allowed to enter the exam centres.

    “Violation of the promulgation will be punishable under Section 223 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023,” the notification added.
