    In compliance with the Government order No. POL.75/2020/PT1/29, dt.9.05.2020 issued  by the Chief Secretary, Government of Meghalaya, the undersigned in consultation with  the District Transport Officer, Mawkyrwat hereby permits the plying of 50% of private  vehicles (Non Transport vehicles) within South West Khasi Hills District w. e. f 11th May, 2020 till further orders.

    The vehicles with the following ending numbers are allowed to ply as mentioned below:-

    Days of the weekPrivate vehicles allowed
    Monday, Wednesday, FridayRegistration No. ending in Even Numbers (0,2,4,6,8)
    Tuesday, Thursday, SaturdayRegistration No. endin g in Odd Number s (1,3,5,7,9)
    SundayNo plying of public or private vehicles except those with valid passes for the day, Government officials and emergency purposes only.

    The vehicle s are to strictly utilize only 50% seating capacity, wherein 4 (four) wheeler vehicles will have a maximum of 2 persons besides the vehicle driver (Driver+2) and for 2 (two) wheeler s, pillion rider is not allowed. It is further reiterated that drivers of all vehicles plying on the above days are to ensure social distancing, wearing of masks and to strictly follow all other advisories of Health and Welfare Departments.

    Non-compliance of this order and advisories of the Government in the Health and Family Welfare Department will attract penalty as per provision of the Law.
