  • Power cuts reduced from 7 hours to 4 hours for West Jaintia Hills District

    After Syllad.com raised the woes of the people of West Jaintia Hills District for seven hours of power cuts daily, the Meghalaya Power Distribution Corporation Limited (MePDCL) on Tuesday reduced the power cut to four hours daily from seven hours daily.

    This is according to the new station-wise schedule for Load Shedding announced by MPDCL with effect from 12 am of Wednesday till further arrangement.

    For Mustem sub station & Khliehriat sub station the power cut will be for two timings from 5 am to 7 am & from 2pm to 4pm.

    While, Lumshnong Sub Station, the timing will be from 6 am to 8 am & from 6 pm to 8 pm.

    The timing for three sub stations namely Mawlyndep, IIM & NEIGRIHMS are from 7 am to 9 am & from 10 pm to 12 am.

    While the two sub stations namely Mawiai & NEHU will have loading for four long hours from 1 am to 5 am.

    The two sub stations namely Mawphlang & Cherra are scheduled for three timing of power outages from 12 am to 1 am, 4 pm to 6 pm and from 11 pm to 12 am.

    Nongstoin Sub Station is scheduled for load shedding from 12 am to 1 am, 7 am to 9 am and from 11 pm to 12 am.

    The areas under sub stations of Umiam & Stage-III will be without powers from 8 am to 10 am & from 11 pm to 12 am.

    EPIP I & II (For IEHT& HT consumers (dedicated feeders) sub stations will have power cuts from 6 pm to 10 pm.

    The EPIP I & II (Public feeders) is scheduled for load shedding from 9 am to 12 pm and the sub station at Killing (Sai Prakash) there will be power outage from 8 am to 12 am
