The State Police with the assistance of Directorate of Health Services has been opening temporary vaccination sites in various police units, in order to provide spot registration and vaccination to its officials who have been categorised as frontline workers.

In a statement issued on Friday, AIGP (A) GK Iangrai said as on date the department has achieved 99.14% completion of 1st dose vaccination amongst its officials and the vaccination drive for the 2nd dose is in progress.

He said the department on seeing the encouraging signs of successful vaccination rate among the officials, has now opened temporary vaccination sites in some police units, extending its support to the vaccination drive and also providing opportunities to willing and eligible family members of police officials, who have been categorised as ‘Priority Targets’ to be vaccinated.
