Police on the job to nab culprits involved in the petrol pump robbery incident

Police are still investigating to nab those behind the robbery incident at a petrol pump in the city on Saturday night. East Khasi Hills Superintendent of Police Sylvester Nongtnger said investigation is on to identify and nab the perpetrators. 

Armed miscreants went to the petrol pump at Assam Auto Agency near the Pantaloons shopping mall and looted cash amounting to Rs 2.8 lakh at gun point. The miscreants came on a motorbike.

In a similar incident on the same night, two armed miscreants had also attempted to rob from the petrol pump at Nongrim Hills. 

The miscreants went straight to the cash counter looking for cash. However, they left the place after they could not find any money.
