    The Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, has expressed deep grief over the loss of lives due to the earthquake in Nepal.

    PM Modi stated that India stands in solidarity with the people of Nepal and is ready to provide all possible assistance. He also wished a speedy recovery for those who were injured.

    In a X post, the Prime Minister said: “Deeply saddened by the loss of lives and damage caused by the earthquake in Nepal. India stands in solidarity with the people of Nepal and is ready to extend all possible assistance. Our thoughts are with the bereaved families, and we wish the injured a quick recovery. @cmprachanda”

    An earthquake measuring 6.4 in magnitude, with a depth of 10 kilometers, struck Nepal at 23:32 Hrs on November 3. The epicenter was located 208 kilometers ESE of Pithoragarh, Uttarakhand, as reported by the National Center for Seismology.

    According to reports, the earthquake resulted in the loss of at least 140 lives and left 155 people injured.

    The National Center for Seismology has reported multiple tremors felt in Nepal on November 4. The first tremor, which occurred last night, was the most intense.
