    Following heavy floods, the RCC Bridge located along Sonapur- Borghat road near Shymplong village has been completely washed off bringing the road connectivity to a sudden halt thereby making vehicular movement and passerby/ commuters along the bridge dangerous and risky.

    In order to ensure the safety and well being of the people, A Baranwal IAS, District Magistrate, East Jaintia Hills has issued prohibitory order under Section 144 CrPC on Tuesday.

    The order prohibit any type of vehicular movement in the vicinity of aforementioned bridge.

    Attempts to cross the stream on foot or boats etc is ban.
