Phoebe Dale Nongrum becomes first woman with triple podium at Dakshin Dare 2025

Meghalaya’s rally driver Phoebe Dale Nongrum has etched her name in Indian motorsport history by becoming the first woman to secure three podium finishes at the prestigious Dakshin Dare Cross Country Rally 2025.
The five-day event, which began in Bengaluru, passed through Andhra Pradesh before concluding in the Karnataka capital, tested competitors with demanding routes and tough conditions. Phoebe, partnered with her navigator Venu Kumar from Coimbatore, a six-time Two-Wheeler Rally Champion, delivered a stellar performance throughout the rally.
She finished third in the T1 Modified Car Category, won the Ladies Category, and secured fourth place in the Overall Standings where the top five are awarded podium finishes.
Her feat marks a milestone for women in motorsports, demonstrating skill, resilience, and determination in a discipline long dominated by men.
Expressing her gratitude after the rally, Phoebe credited her success to teamwork, her navigator, and the unwavering support of her well-wishers.
The Meghalaya Motorsports Society hailed her achievement, congratulating Phoebe and Venu Kumar for their outstanding performance and for bringing pride to the state and the nation.
