Pending scholarships to be released soon: Rymbui

Education Minister Lahkmen Rymbui on Monday told the Assembly that the pending scholarships will be released as soon as bank account related issues of beneficiaries are resolved. 

Rymbui said that for the annual year 2020-21, verification of scholarship application forms are under process. 

He was replying to a query raised by Mawlai legislator Process T Sawkmie on the issue.

The minister also clarified that it is not correct to say that the scholarship of the students are pending for the last five years. 

According to him, those who have not got the scholarship was due to problem related to the bank account.
