Passenger bus & light motor vehicles permitted to cross Umiam’s bridge

The District Magistrate East Khasi Hills District has issued an order under Section 144 CrPC permitting the plying of passenger buses and light motor vehicles over Wah Umiam Bridge connecting East Khasi Hills District and Ri Bhoi District.

According to the order, MMVs/HMVs from West/East/Jaintia Hills District will ply from Mawryngkneng towards Shillong Bypass.

While MMV/HMV from West/South West/Eastern West Khasi Hills District will ply from Pomlakrai/Mawryngkneng/Shillong Bypass.
