    In yet another major break through East Garo Hills police team from Rongjeng conducted search operations in Nongchram Rongdu area about 9 kilometer from Rongjeng and recovered arms and ammunitions suspected to be hidden by GNLA.

    Today at around 10 am the police team recieved information from reliable sources that huge number of arms and ammunition are kept hidden in Nongchram area. Acting on the input SP East Garo Hills dispatch a team to conduct search operation in the area. At around 3.00 pm the police team recovered 1) 7.62×39 mm AK ×75 rounds, 2). 7.65mm x 12 rounds 3). .38mm ×2 rounds 4). 9mm ×11 rounds from Nongchram Rongdu area.

    Meghalaya Police recovered huge amount anti-Armour ammunitions

    Search operation are being carried out to recover more arms and ammunition. The case is being registered for further investigation.
