Outdoor activities in schools under East Khasi Hills District prohibited

In order to ensure the safety of the students due to the prevailing heat wave, the Deputy Commissioner East Khasi Hills District has directed educational institutions located around Dangar Area under Mawsynram Block to remain closed for one week from Friday or until further order whichever is earlier.

Further, the Deputy Commissioner also directed outdoor activities in all schools in East Khasi Hills are to be kept in abeyance until further order.
