    Sub Divisional Magistrate, Sohra Civil Sub Division Hema Nayak, IAS has promuglated Section 144 CrPC in and around Weisawdong Tourist Spot and Dainthlen Tourist Spot under Sohra Police Station.

    The prohibitory order issued on Friday in view of a dispute between Mawphu, Laitduh and Umblai villages over the ownership of land/ areas falling under Dainthlen and Wei Sawdong.

    Further, Sub-Divisional Police Officer, Sohra has hinted of a possibility of breakdown of law and order in the coming days.

    The order prohibited assembly of more than 5 (Five) persons and carrying of weapons or items which can be used as a weapon.

    The order also banned parking of vehicles along the stretch of road from Dainthlen to Wei-Sawdong.

    The SDO (Civil) also prohibited the opening/operating of Weisawdong Tourist Spot & Dainthlen Tourist Spot from Friday until further notice.
