One killed after he fell out of a moving car in Umiam flyover

In a freak accident, one person identified as Nobin Singh of Mukhla was killed after he fell out of a moving car in Umiam Flyover Ri Bhoi District on the afternoon of 29 April this year.
Police said that one Maruti Suzuki Wagon R bearing registration number ML 05 AC 5114, driven by Gobinda Biswas, resident of Assam was proceeding towards Guwahati, was speeding.
Police said upon reaching the curve at the flyover, a person identified as Nobin Singh, aged 41, son of Dayal Singh, resident of Mukhla, who was sitting in the front seat and had sat on the window, was thrown out as the car hit the side of the road and fell off the flyover, resulting in a major head injury. Due to the impact of the injury, he succumbed to his injuries.
Police said the other two occupants sitting in the back, namely Bijoy Singh, son of Dayal Singh, resident of Mukhla, who is his brother, and Baris Marboh, son of T. Marboh, resident of Puriang, were unharmed.
The injured person was taken by the 108 ambulances to Civil Nongpoh accompanied by his brother. The driver of the vehicle and the other occupant have been sent for medical examination, and the vehicle has been towed to Umiam PS for safe custody.
