    One died after testing positive for COVID-19 taking the death toll in the state to 151, Director of Health Services (MI) Dr Aman War said on Thursday.

    The state has also recorded 25 new COVID-19 cases and 1 recovery.

    Dr War informed that the new cases include 20 from East Khasi Hills district, 2 from East Jaintia Hills district and 1 each from Ri Bhoi district, West Jaintia Hills district and West Khasi Hills district.

    So far, the state has detected a total of 14,165 COVID-19 cases out of which 131 are active cases, 13,883 recovered and 151 deaths.

    East Khasi Hills has 90 active cases, West Garo Hills 24, Ri Bhoi 11, East Jaintia Hills 3, West Khasi Hills 2 and West Jaintia Hills 1.

    On the other hand, of the 4,14,890 persons who have tested for COVID-19 in the state as on date, 4,00,725 were tested negative for the virus even as 63 persons are in institutional quarantine and 68 under home quarantine.

    There are 1,00,543 entrants from outside the state.
