One arrested for looting truck driver on Jowai bypass

One Thehbiang Talang (27) from Barato Village was arrested for his involvement in looting a truck driver at the Jowai bypass.

According to the police, the arrest was made based on the FIR filed by the truck driver Saiful Islam.

Islam in his complaint informed that four miscreants, who came in a maruti car (WB-02R-4019), broke the windshield of his truck, while it was parked at the Jowai bypass road on October 7. He said the miscreants also assaulted him and his helper at pistol/knife point and robbed Rs 4,000, mobile phone and two batteries from them.
