One arrested after scooty hit student at Laitumkhrah
In a case of rash driving, a class XI student was hit by an over speeding scooty (without registration plate) while trying to cross the road near Don Bosco Technical School, Laitumkrah on Thursday.
SP (City) Vivek Syiem informed that the victim was immediately shifted to Woodland Hospital in a local taxi. The rider and pillion were also sent for medical examination to the same hospital as they also sustained injuries.
Later the pedestrian was admitted in the said hospital as he got a fracture on the right leg and injury on the head. “His family have now shifted him to GNRC Guwahati where his condition is stable,” he said.
The SP said a case has been registered and the rider of the scooty has been arrested.
