    JOWAI: The Jowai Civil Hospital- District Medical Health Officer, Jowai CNE (Continuing Nursing Education) Cell organised a daylong conference on ‘Chronic Renal Failure’ at District Library Auditorium, Mynthong, Jowai on the theme, “End Stage Renal Disease: A Quality Nursing Care for improving the quality of life of the Patient Living with End stage Renal Disease. Shri. Andrew Shullai, MDC Jowai Central attended the conference as the Chief Guest and Dr. E.War, Senior Pediatrician, Jowai Civil Hospital as the Guest of Honour.

    Inaugurating the conference, Andrew Shullai congratulated the nurses for organising such a conference to upgrade the knowledge of the nurses. He encouraged the nurses to continue keeping themselves updated with latest health knowledge, as learning has no ending. He said, when you are knowledgeable the service provided to the patients will advance.

    Dr. E.War, Senior Pediatrician, JCH, Ialong requested the nurses to make CNE as kind of activity and part of the curriculum to help improve the quality of nursing care.

    Smt. R. Rymbai, Organising Chairperson of JCH-DM&HO Jowai CNE Cell spoke on the importance of Continuing Nursing Education (CNE) and a need for developing self interest in learning new things and upgrading knowledge from time to time, to be able to give quality care of the patients. She encouraged the nurses to take advantage of the opportunity available to be able to keep oneself updated to be at par with the changing world in all aspects.

    Smt. C. Lamat, Assistant Organising Chairperson JCH-DM&HO, Jowai CNE brief on the objective of the days Topic ‘Chronic Renal Failure’.

    The Resource persons, Smt. Ieidlang Dkhar gave lectures on Anatomy & Physiology of the Urinary System, Dr. Dawanroy Nongpluh overview of ESRD, Smt. Suzanne Mary Pakyntein on Dialysis, Smt. Markordor Kharshiing, Nursing Mangement with ESRD, Smt. Ivory Kharduid On Health Educztion for Patient living with ESRD, Smt. Sachika Lato, Group Acitivity on Nursing Care Plan for Patient with ESRD

    Earlier Smt. J. Ryngkhlem, Treasurer of JCH-DM&HO Jowai, CNE Cell welcomed the dignaterises and resource persons and the vote of thanks was offered by Smt. R. Suting, Registration Committee Member JCH-DM&HO Jowai CNE Cell.
