NSCN(I-M) cadre caught in Tinsukia, arms recovered
An NSCN(I-M) cadre was arrested by the troops of the Indian Army from Inthem Ghat in Pengree of Upper Assam’s Tinsukia district on Thursday.
The troops also recovered war-like stores from Inthem Ghat in the same operation.
A joint operation was launched by the army troops and Assam Police and apprehended a cadre with two pistols, three grenades and ammunition intended to carry out subversive activities in the region.
“The apprehended individual along with recoveries have been handed over to the Assam Police for further investigation and disposal,” a Defence spokesperson said.
