  • NPYF encourages use of organic carry bags in West Garo Hills

    The National People’s Youth Front (NPYF) on Saturday distributed organic carry bags at Najing Bazar, Araimile and Tura Bazar area in West Garo Hills district.

    The programme was led by the NPYF state working president Dabo M Marak and NPYF West Garo Hills president Silban Marak and youth workers.

    The NPYF encouraged the use of organic biodegradable bags which are environment-friendly, healthier and decompose within 90 days.

    It said it is taking the initiative to conduct the activity every month to promote ‘No plastic, no pollution’.

    The National People’s Party also expressed appreciation on the efforts of the NPYF and its members in furthering the Chief Minister’s aim of fighting against plastic pollution and making a clean and green Meghalaya.
