NPP releases 2nd list of 7 candidates for ADC polls

The ruling National People’s Party (NPP) on Saturday released its second list of seven candidates for the upcoming elections to the autonomous district councils (ADCs), to be held on February 21.

This list also includes sitting MLA Sosthenes Sohtun from Jirang and former legislator Samlin Malngiang from Sohiong.

The other candidates are Dr Amanda Annete Pakyntein – Mawkynrew, Joplin Sten – Mawhati, Elias Kharbihkhiew – Sohryngkham Mawryngkneng, Sharailang Warjri – Mawthadraishan and Kordor L Nongkynrih – Mawkhar Pynthorumkhrah.

So far, the NPP has announced 45 candidates of which, 25 from KHADC and 20 from JHADC.
