    The National People’s Party (NPP) on Saturday announced the formation of the NPP Assam State Adhoc Committee.

    The national general secretary in-charge of finance and election in-charge of Assam state, James K Sangma appointed the office bearers of the committee which includes the vice president, general secretaries and treasurer for the state of Assam.

    James K Sangma congratulated all the members and wished them all the best in their endeavours to strengthen the Party, especially since the Party is gearing up to contest the upcoming elections in Assam.

    The other office bearers include Biswajit Baruah – vice president, Abul Hussain, Purna Kanta Pegu and Partha Pratim Mahanta – general secretaries, Fulgence Toppo, Raj Prasad Saikia and Chandan Kalita – secretaries, Ringkhang Mushahary – secretary (BTR in-charge), Sunit Das – treasurer, Nihar Ranjan Gogoi – office secretary, Krishna Bhattacharya and Lakhyana Lagasu – conveners women’s wing.
