    The District Magistrate East Khasi Hills District has permitted the plying of vehicle transporting LPG Gas/Petrol and Diesel Tanker over the Wah Umiam Bridge.

    However they should possess a valid challan from Umling Weight Bridge authenticating their load is within 15 metric tons.

    This is in partial modification to this officer Order vide Memo vide No. C&S.3/2009/PT.III/ 198-A dated Shillong the 14th December, 2023 and in continuation to this Office Order vide Memo No. C&S.3/2009/PT.III/194-A, dated 3rd November, 2023.

    Earlier, the District Magistrate East Khasi Hills has permitted the plying of Passengers Buses and LMVs over Umiam Bridge.

    According to the order, MMVs/HMVs from West/East/Jaintia Hills District will ply from Mawryngkneng towards Shillong Bypass.

    While MMV/HMV from West/South West/Eastern West Khasi Hills District will ply from Pomlakrai/Mawryngkneng/Shillong Bypass.
