    North Garo Hills district police on Friday arrested two kidnappers and safely rescued the kidnapped labourers.

    Police on May 6 received a complaint that two labourers was abducted by unidentified armed miscreants from their camp at Chidaret Ajagro.

    Following the incident the district police launched search and rescue operations to rescue the labourers. With continuous and extensive day and night Search & Rescue Operations, police managed to rescue the victim unharmed on May 7.

    During the Police operation, two miscreants have been apprehended while they were trying to run away with their arms. However, the other person escaped taking advantage of the difficult terrain.

    Arms used for committing the crime have also been recovered from their possession. After preliminary inquiry, one of the apprehended person involved in the crime is found to be juvenile.

    A regular case has been registered in Resubelpara PS and investigation is on.
