    The North East NSS Festival 2024 concluded on May 3 with remarkable success, highlighting the diverse cultural heritage and collaborative spirit among the eight North Eastern states of India. The valedictory program featured esteemed dignitaries, heartfelt speeches, and expressions of gratitude.

    Affinda Gretty Lapasam and F Dalamky Lytan, Assistant Professors at Jaintia Eastern College, Khliehriat, skillfully anchored the program. Jamphrang Lyngdoh, the Programme Officer of the NSS Unit at Jaintia Eastern College, Khliehriat, delivered a warm welcome speech, extending heartfelt gratitude to all attendees and acknowledging the Chief Guest and Special Guest for their presence.

    Students from Jaintia Eastern College set a welcoming tone with a delightful song, enhancing the sense of camaraderie at the event. Nakul Chandra Deori, the Youth Officer of NSS for the North Eastern Region, delivered a concise yet impactful speech, commending the efforts of all involved and emphasizing the importance of inclusivity in NSS programs.

    Dr. P Nongtdu, the Member Secretary of the North East NSS Festival 2024, expressed gratitude to the guests for their presence and highlighted the festival’s role in promoting cultural understanding. Samdy Myrchiang presented a brief report of the festival, thanking everyone and wishing them a safe journey home.

    The distribution of certificates and mementos added to the celebratory atmosphere, honouring the participants’ contributions. Ambrose Ch. Marak, IAS, Secretary to the Government of Meghalaya, Education Department, delivered an insightful speech, urging the audience to make wise choices in life and embrace self-expression.

    Banpynskhembha Papang, Joint Secretary of the Organising Committee, concluded the event with a heartfelt vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to all who contributed to its success, from the organizers to the participants. His words underscored the spirit of collaboration and teamwork that defined the North East NSS Festival 2024.
