No garbage or debris dumping along NH: East Khasi Hills DM

East Khasi Hills District Magistrate has promulgated an Order under Section 163 BNSS prohibiting dumping of soil & debris, throwing of garbage all along the Highway from Rilbong Junction towards Upper Shillong and the National Highway of Shillong-Guwahati.

This Order is necessitated following receipt of notice that unauthorised dumping of soil & debris and household waste is being carried out at Umshyrpi (Rilbong Point) towards Upper Shillong and Guwahati Road within East Khasi Hills. Such activities, if allowed to continue, will lead to health hazard and also hamper the execution of work carried out by the NHIDCL.

Any violation of this Order shall be liable to be prosecuted under Section 223 of the BNS.

This order comes into force with immediate effect and shall remain in force until further orders.
