    JOWAI: In view of the polling day of the JHADC Election, the Superintendent of Police, West Jaintia Hills District has declared no entry for all vehicles excepting polling officials towards DC’s Office from 3pm tomorrow.

    After 3:00 PM the vehicles coming from New Hill point and Wah Nangbah will not be allowed to enter the area of DC point but only the polling party vehicles (vehicles carrying EVM) will be allowed to proceed towards Nongbah Stand, informed a press communique.

    Further, vehicles coming from Chutwakhu areas and Mission Compound areas will not be allowed to enter DC point after and they will be diverted from Jrisalein Junction towards District Library, Jowai and to Stand War. However, only the polling party vehicles (vehicles carrying EVM) will be allowed to pass towards DC point.

    All the vehicles coming from Stand War side will be diverted through DC bypass towards Wah Nangbah Junction and no vehicles will be allowed to enter Iawmusiang area through this junction except for the polling party vehicles (vehicles carrying EVM).

    All the vehicles will be diverted through Thomas Jones Junction which will proceed towards Pohshnong area.

    However for polling parties and for Zonal and Sector Officers, their vehicles coming from New Hill point area will be allowed to stop at Nongbah Stand and will leave the stand as soon as the EVM machine is carried to strong room and the vehicles can be parked at Ummulong Stand/ War Stand/ Jrisalein.

    Polling vehicles coming from War side areas will be allowed to proceed and stop their vehicles near JHADC office area but as soon as the EVM is carried to strong room the vehicles will be diverted towards Jrisalein Ground or Stand War through District Library.

    All vehicles of Zonal and Sector Officers (Civil and Police) will be allowed to pass through Wah Nangbah Junction to DC Junction area and vice versa but will not be allowed to park at Nongbah Stand. Other polling parties’ vehicles can park at Stand War, Ummulong Stand, Jrisalein Ground.
